3 NIGHTS VIENNA & 3 NIGHTS PRAGUE
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and someone once said, “If European cities were a necklace, Prague would be a diamond among the pearls.” That must mean Prague is a girl’s best friend, too, right? That’s why Monograms has made it easy for girls—as well as women, men, and families—to vacation in Prague. And it’s not just Prague; we’ve also made Vienna easy. On this 7-day vacation, we’ve arranged your hotel reservations in both cities, sightseeing, daily breakfast, transfers to/from the train stations, and transportation via high-speed train from Vienna to Prague. Plus, you’ll have the services of a Local Host®—someone who will offer you suggestions, answer questions, help you navigate the cities, and make sure your vacation is all you want it to be…in both Vienna & Prague.
When you arrive in Vienna, we can pick you up at the airport so you don’t have to deal with the hassles of airport transfers. At your selected hotel, your Local Host will greet you with a warm welcome, answer any questions, and give you materials to help you get settled. The next morning, after included breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert. The highlight of your sightseeing tour is a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. You’ll stand in awe as you see the splendor and luxury in the palace. In Prague, your guided sightseeing with a local expert includes the Castle Courtyards and Staromestske Square, dating back to the 12th century. You’ll hear the inside stories of Prague’s famous sights as well as what it is like to live in this city that has changed so much in recent history.
In both cities, you’ll have a full day to explore on your own. In Vienna, you may want to ride the giant Ferris wheel at Prater park; explore St. Stephen’s Cathedral; visit one of the many art and history museums; shop at the Vienna Naschmarkt, a colorful market dating back to the 16th century; take an excursion to nearby Bratislava, capital of Slovakia; or enjoy a Strauss concert. In Prague, you may want to take a tour of the Jewish Ghetto; cruise on the Vltava (Moldau) River; explore Prague Castle; browse for souvenirs on Charles Bridge, one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe; or enjoy a Czech beer at a local beer hall. Your Local Hosts will have plenty of suggestions.
And did we mention your package includes first-class travel via high-speed train between Vienna and Prague? Between the transfers and transportation we’ve included, the sightseeing and guides we’ve arranged, and the hotels we’ve booked, all you have to do is make sure you bring your camera. Add the comfort of knowing you’ll have a local who speaks the language and can assist you throughout your stay, and you’ve got yourself a marvelous vacation!
