SENSATIONAL SOUTHEAST ASIA

13 Days

SENSATIONAL SOUTHEAST ASIA

Dreaming of detailed ancient temples, bustling cities, and exotic bays lined with mysterious caves and floating villages? We are, too. Let us show you the splendor of Southeast Asia on this 13-day itinerary. With hotel accommodations, private guided sightseeing, and daily breakfast coordinated for you, Monograms makes your dream Southeast Asia adventure simple! Plus, we provide you with a Local Host® who can provide suggestions about what to see and do during your stay.

Your vacation begins when you arrive in Hanoi. If you wish, we can transfer you seamlessly from the airport to your hotel. Your Local Host will greet you and provide you with details to help you navigate the city. The next morning, after included breakfast, you will take a private guided tour, stopping at all of Hanoi’s must-see sites. You will explore the Old Quarter by electric car, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, and tour the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, and Temple of Literature.

The next day, take a private transfer through the countryside to Ha Long Bay, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site that is dotted with more than 3,000 limestone islands. Upon your arrival, you will board an overnight cruise that will take you to explore the beaches, caves, and floating villages scattered throughout the bay. You may also choose to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese cooking demonstration while on board. You will disembark the following day to catch your flight from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

Once in Ho Chi Minh, you will take a private guided walking tour, strolling along Dong Khoi Street to see the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also visit the moving War Remnants Museum and experience the Ben Thanh Market, the largest and oldest market in the city. This afternoon, explore on your own! On your second day in Ho Chi Minh, discover more than 120 miles of underground tunnels. These Cu Chi Tunnels were used by the Viet Cong as a hideout during the war.

Then, you will fly from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap in neighboring Cambodia for private guided sightseeing that introduces you to some of the world’s most incredible ancient ruins: the fantastically preserved Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom’s Bayon Temple with its carved face images, the red sandstone Banteay Srei, and untouched Ta Prohm, where trunks and roots of massive trees can be seen growing over, around, and through the ruins.

Your trip concludes with two days in Bangkok. Take a private guided tour including the Temple of the Dawn, whose 260-foot-tall spire has become identified with Bangkok; the Grand Palace; the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, painstakingly carved from a single block of jade; and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Bangkok. Wait until you see the 49-foot-high and 151-foot-long massive Reclining Buddha! We’ve also included a boat ride through the klongs, Bangkok’s canals, where you will see family homes, temples, and the local way of life.

Monograms has assembled the best of Southeast Asia for you, so that all you have to do is remember your camera!
