This comprehensive Greek vacation experience will begin with two days in Athens, the birthplace of Socrates and Plato! An expert guide will take you on a tour of the city, where you’ll experience all of the “must-see” sights of this modern, yet ancient metropolis.

From there, you’ll hop on a high-speed ferry to the romantic island of Santorini, known for its spectacular Caldera with whitewashed houses perched on the edge, created by the eruption of the island’s volcano in the ancient times.

Your next island-hopping stop will be the beautiful island of Crete, where you will spend 3 nights. Crete is the largest island in Greece, where visitors can explore glorious beaches, impressive mountainscapes, and vast valleys with olive groves and vineyards. Spend days admiring the remnants of brilliant civilizations, and evenings sampling the island’s rich gastronomic culture.

Day 02 :
Athens

After breakfast, depart for your Athens sightseeing tour! You’ll end your tour at the ancient Acropolis, where you can explore the remnants of the civilization of Ancient Greece.

Spend the rest of your day at leisure; consider heading back to Syntagma Square in the evening for a bite of traditional Greek food, the square comes alive with lights and energy come nightfall.

Athens Sightseeing Tour (with Acropolis)

Discover the secrets of Athens, including its famous Acropolis on your sightseeing tour! Your expert guide will take you to see the center of the city, the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library.

On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.

On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the famous Parthenon.

Your first taste of Athens would not be complete without a visit to the Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural building where, at last, the statues have found their home. Here, you can admire the wonders and architectural masterpieces of the classical era.

After an early morning breakfast you’ll be transferred to the port of Athens for the ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival in Santorini, be transported to your hotel, where you can unwind and begin discovering this picturesque island!

Take a stroll to the coast, where you can admire the spectacular Caldera with white-washed houses perched on the edge, created by the eruption of the island’s volcano in the ancient times.

A Tip For Your Trip: Santorini is an island of steep hills. Pack a pair of comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk!

Day 04 :
Santorini

Enjoy the splendors at your door or explore the volcanic island of Santorini – known worldwide as the most romantic island!

Pay a visit to the traditional village of Oia, the most photographed place in Greece, best known for its breath-taking sunsets. Small white houses tier the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red – making Oia a magical place.

It’s a nightly tradition for residents and visitors to gather at the end of the village to watch the spectacular sunset – and chances are you’ll enjoy it so much, you’ll be back again the next night!

Day 05 :
Santorini

Spend another day exploring stunning Santorini. Discover ancient artifacts at the Prehistoric Museum in Fira or unwind at the breathtaking beaches of the island, whose colorful sands are the result of volcanic eruption.

Or just pass the day at one of the many cafes overlooking the Caldera, dining on the fresh, local Mediterranean cuisine and taking in the amazing views!

After breakfast, enjoy another transfer to the port. It’s time for your ferry to Crete, Greece’s largest island!

In Crete you’ll find a wide variety of terrains waiting to be explored, from the picturesque white mountain ranges to the breathtaking beaches covered in fine sand.

You can also discover the secrets of Ancient Greece at the Archaeological Museum or explore remnants of its Byzantine and Venetian past – from Turkish bathhouses to Renaissance mansions!

Day 08 :
Crete

Enjoy another day at leisure in Crete. Why not spend the day at the island’s famous pink beach? Or perhaps make a visit to the island of Spinalonga, as it is the most popular archaeological site in Crete after Knossos.

In the evening, you may want to head to Agios Nikolaos and experience its bustling nightlife.

After breakfast, be transferred to Heraklion airport for your flight to Rhodes. Upon arrival on the Island of Rhodes, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Treat yourself to sweeping views of Lindos Bay by hiking up to the top of Lindos’ Acropolis; the hike is steep, so those looking for a more relaxing experience may want to hire a donkey to take them up to the top.

Enjoy your breakfast, then be transferred to the airport for your flight to Athens. Upon arrival in Athens, make your way to your hotel for your last night in Greece.

Tonight, indulge in a meal sampling all of the flavors of the country! Snack on cheese from feta to manouri, devour gyros, taste locally-pressed olive oil, and of course, wash it all down with a shot of Greece’s famous ouzo.
